The curvaceous and warm typeface Feijoa portrays the rounded edges of the handwritten letters on the minibus signs in Hong Kong, representing the humanistic side of the city. An accent typeface, Photography, will be used in quotes for showcasing the more organic and expressive moments.
Resistant Yellow will be used extensively, as it is the representative color in the Hong Kong democratic movement, conveying the determination and solidarity of Hong Kongers. Secondary color, solidarity green, will be a complement to the main color, as the green is a common tone found in the cityscape of Hong Kong and New York.
Gestural and inky illustrations complement to the “organic and artistic” value of LRC. Depending on the situation, either black ink or brown chalk will be used. Lady Liberty is the first illustration, showcasing the spirit of the Hong Kong protesters.
Photo and video should be identifiable with the brand. Soft, directional and warm light are desired to create an authentic and elevated moment. If possible, an earthy tone is also encouraged to give audience a nice nostalgic feel.
